Here are some of the ways your donation can help the work of the Child Rescue Centre:
•$400 allows a child to be assisted through our Foster Care Program for a full year.
•$75 provides basic, annual medical care for a child, including regular check ups and medicines provided by a full-time nurse.
•$180 supports a child in the Child Support Program – a program that cares for 100 non-resident children who live with guardians in the local community.
•$300 enables a child to receive food, clothing, and other care for one year at the CRC’s residential home.
•$350 pays for school fees, uniforms and supplies for one year of Primary School, Junior Secondary or Senior Secondary School for a resident child.
•$2,000 will support a year of vocational training for a student to learn a skill, which will allow her or him to become self-sufficient.
•$2,600 provides a year of college and related expenses for youth who are leaving the CRC and obtaining this education to help them become life-long, productive citizens.
•Experiential trip within Sierra Leone to help the children learn about their own country. 22 people, 5 days - $3000
•Experiential trip for a week outside Sierra Leone for two children and two staff. The children have successfully completed Senior Secondary School and are ready to move on to university or vocational training. Four $2000 donations will cover the cost of this trip.
