The Power of your Donations

The orphaned, severely neglected, downtrodden, and otherwise forgotten children of Sierra Leone, who have been rescued by the Child Rescue Centre (CRC), benefit tremendously from your donations and support. Indeed, your dollars have enormous financial leverage for providing help in one of the poorest countries in the world.

For example:

$50 provides basic, annual medical care for a child, including regular check ups and medicines provided by a full-time nurse.

$180 supports a child in the Child Support Program – a program that cares for 100 non-resident children who live with guardians in the local community.

$350 pays for school fees, uniforms and supplies for one year of Primary School, Junior Secondary or Senior Secondary School for a resident child.

$400 allows a child to be assisted through our Foster Care Program for a full year.

$650 enables a child to receive food, clothing, and other care for one year at the CRC’s residential home.

$1,000 will support a year of vocational training for a student to learn a skill, which will allow her or him to become self-sufficient.

$2,000 provides a year of college and related expenses for youth who are leaving the CRC and obtaining this education to help them become life-long, productive citizens.

Helping Children Worldwide is a 501(c)(3) organization and serves as a fiscal sponsor for the CRC. Money is wired monthly to the CRC for operating expenses and as needed for special programs. If you want your donation directed to a specific area such as trauma

treatment, renovations, operating expenses, please note on the memo line or include a note with your check.
